Privacy Policy
Loop Loop: Goliath · Last updated [DATE]
This policy explains what data the mobile game Loop Loop: Goliath (the "game") collects, why, who processes it, and how you can have it deleted. The short version: the game sends gameplay statistics and crash reports only if you allow it, it never asks for your name, email or account, and you can delete what we have from the game's Options.
Who we are
The data controller is [NAME / COMPANY], [POSTAL ADDRESS / BUSINESS ID]. Contact us about anything in this policy at privacy@maximalist.games.
What the game collects, and when
On first launch the game asks whether you allow analytics. If you choose No thanks, nothing below is sent. You can change your choice any time in Options > Analytics.
If you allow it, the game sends:
- Gameplay events: which screens you open, tutorial steps, Stages started, won and lost, choices such as the Perks picked, and timings. We use these to find where the game is too hard, confusing or broken.
- A random install ID (shown in Options as your "Data ID") and a session ID. They are generated by the game, are not linked to your name, Google account or advertising ID, and change if you turn analytics off or delete your data. This data is pseudonymous, not anonymous.
- Device information: device model, operating system version, memory size, the game's version and build.
Your IP address reaches our server as part of any internet connection. We use it only briefly to limit abusive traffic and do not store it.
Crash reports
With the same permission, the game sends crash and error reports through Sentry. A report contains a random ID created by Sentry (not your Data ID), device model and OS version, the game's version, the game's log lines leading up to the error, and an approximate location (city level) that Sentry derives from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored.
What stays on your device
Your saved game and settings are stored on your device. Android may include them in your device's own backup, depending on your device settings; we don't receive that backup.
What the game doesn't do
- No accounts, names, emails, contacts, photos or precise location.
- No advertising and no in-app purchases in the current version. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, and it will name the ad networks involved.
- We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
Why: the legal basis
Analytics and crash reports are based on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it any time in Options; withdrawing stops future collection. To also remove what was already collected, use Delete my data (below).
Who processes the data
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) receives the gameplay events and stores them for us, primarily in Western Europe, under Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum. Transfers to the US are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) (USA) processes crash reports for us, stored in its EU region (Frankfurt, Germany), under Sentry's Data Processing Addendum and the same transfer safeguards.
Cloudflare also serves this website.
How long we keep it
- Gameplay events: 2 years from collection, then deleted. We may keep aggregated statistics that no longer relate to any install (for example "40% of players finished the tutorial") longer.
- Crash reports: deleted automatically by Sentry after at most 90 days.
Delete your data
Open Options and tap Delete my data. The game sends a deletion request for your Data ID, even if analytics is off, and we delete the gameplay events stored under it within 30 days. Your progress is kept; analytics is turned off and the game makes you a new Data ID.
No longer have the game? Email privacy@maximalist.games with your Data ID. Without a Data ID we can't tell which data is yours, because we don't know who you are.
Delete my data doesn't reach crash reports, which carry Sentry's own ID; they are deleted automatically within 90 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent. Email us with your Data ID to use them. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
[AGE POLICY: e.g. "The game is not directed at children under 13." Must match the Play Console target audience.]

Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the game.
